Introducing the “Oldsmodesk!” Once a big ol’ sedan, we’ve given this chunk of Detroit steel a new life as a WB workstation. After finding it in the deep woods of Noblesville, IN, we cut, cleaned, and painted the Olds then built a wooden chassis where the powerful Rocket engine used to rumble.   Our First Car Desk!
The Desk deVille was plucked from a junkyard near downtown Indianapolis and brought back to Casey's garage to be cut, sanded, welded, and painted. We learned a lot about the ol' car when we found a 1958 insurance card mounted near the radiator. Using Yahoo People Search we were able to find the son of the Cadillac Sedan deVille's original owner. It was his dad's first big purchase after landing a good job with Metropolitan Life Insurance; he'd always wanted his own Caddy! This desk now resides in Los Angeles wearing a candy apple green paint job and a shiny set o' wheel covers.
